Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I have to pay my insurance deductible up front?

Most insurance companies do not require you to pay your deductible upfront with the exception of a few. Most insurance companies take the deductible out of the repair estimate. If you are a USAA customer, we are required to collect the deductible before beginning work.

  • Do I have to work with the restoration company my insurance company recommended?

As an insured person or business,  you have the right to hire any company you chose to work in your home. You do not have to go with suggested restoration companies and we suggest you vet any company you'd like to work with beforehand.

  • Can you bill my insurance directly?

Yes we can, all we require is for you to sign our direction of payment which allows us to bill your insurance directly. Our goal is to save you time and frustration so you can get back to normal life!

  • How long will the restoration process take?

It depends on the extent of the damage and many other factors. The average water loss takes 2-4 days but can take longer if you have a specialty drying situation IE: Hardwood floors or tile. Depending on the size of the home for a soot loss it can take anywhere from 2-7 days with a crew of 4-5 cleaners.

  • What should I do after water damage?

  • Is my house going to smell after your crew is done cleaning?

Our goal is to restore your property like new, but every situation is different.

If you find that after our crew is done with the physical cleaning of your home after a fire or other disater, that  there is any lingering smell - we can either ozone or fog your home to remove it.

  • Why can’t I just paint the walls after a soot loss?

If you paint over the soot it can bleed through the paint and create a whole different issue, so we encourage homeowners to have a professional come in the clean the soot with proper cleaning agents before attempting to paint.

  • If I suspect I have mold, can I test for it myself?

There are at-home mold test kits available, but often the results are misleading and hard to interpret.

We recommend anytime you suspect mold in your home that you get a proper professional inspection.

Our technicians are specially certified to remediate all mold types and at home remedies like cleaning mold with bleach will not remove your mold problem.

*Our technicians are trained by the IICRC and hold AMRT certifications (Applied Microbial Remediation Technician).
